Dogecoin Price Touches Highest Position in 1 Month, Here’s Why
Previously, Dogecoin (DOGE) touched a one-month high on Friday, March 25, 2022, a day after Bitcoin of America announced plans to add support for Dogecoin to its network of more than 1,800 ATMs in 31 US states.
The price of Dogecoin is up 4 percent in the last 24 hours, reaching USD 0.141 or around IDR 2,024 at one point, the highest price since February 21. However, DOGE is back down and trading at USD 0.136, reported by CoinDesk, Friday, March 25, 2022.
Bitcoin of America, which describes itself as a virtual currency exchange registered as a money service business with the US Treasury, said it recognized Dogecoin’s growing popularity and decided it was time to incorporate it into its ATM network.
With ATMs, customers can buy certain types of cryptocurrencies with cash or sell them for cash. Ethereum, the native token of the Ethereum network, was added to the ATM network in October last year.
Last week, the price of DOGE soared after billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted that he would not sell his crypto holdings, including Dogecoin. However, Dogecoin is still far from the all-time high of USD 0.74 reached early last year.
