Telcoin is an Ethereum-based decentralized cryptocurrency that was founded in July 2017 in Singapore to serve as a bridge between crypto, blockchain and telecommunications industries.

The project aims to partner with leading names in the telecommunications industry such as Verizon and AT&T and to remove the complexity that exists between billing platforms and mobile money.

The main focus of Telcoin (TEL) is the remittance market, of which Western Union is currently the clear leader. Telcoin partners with global telecommunications platforms and mobile money, to provide users with high-speed and low-cost digital remittances to mobile money platforms and e-wallets. This was reported by Coinmarketcap, Monday (21/3/2022).

Telcoin (TEL) is an ERC-20 token based on the Ethereum blockchain. TEL is used in the telecoin ecosystem to make payments on e-commerce websites.

In 2017, Paul Neuner and Claude Eguienta founded Telcoin to help users transfer money globally in seconds. Paul Neuner, who serves as chairman of Telcoin, had accumulated over 12 years in the telecommunications field before venturing into the blockchain world.

His earliest involvement as a technology entrepreneur in telecommunications began with Mobius, a start-up that provided fraud management services for mobile networks.

In 2012, he founded Pangea K.K., a mobile software application development company based in Tokyo, Japan.

Prior to founding Telcoin, in March 2017, he started Ikou, a mobile app for creating and organizing events. In 2018, he started Sedona, a next-generation telecommunications fraud management service focused on securing sovereign mobile financial services.

Claude Eguienta serves as CEO of Telcoin and heads the project. He has a Master of Science degree in computer science and focuses on distributed systems.

For more than a decade, Claude has worked for startups and large technology companies focused on providing the best financial services to customers.

The Uniqueness of Telcoins

The main focus of telcoin crypto is the remittance market. Even though there are nearly five cell phones for every existing bank account, people are still lining up to send money from high-cost money transfer agencies, with Western Union being the largest.

Leveraging the power of blockchain, Telcoins are bringing people in developing countries a faster and cheaper alternative to remittance services.

To achieve this, Telcoin works with mobile operators and e-wallets globally, enabling them to reach a broad user base with a contactless service.

Like every other decentralized digital asset, Telcoin gives its users complete access to their money via their mobile phone.

As desired, users can send and receive money from anywhere in the world. The project is also user-centric, keeping the platform as user-friendly and as user-friendly as possible.
